Hey guys, I was searching jobs.ie for film related jobs and looks like there is just nothing... is it really so hard to find a job in film related sector? :( I just started film production course...

Jobs for film and TV don't tend to go up on job sites like jobs.ie

You're more likely to find ones up on IFTN - http://www.iftn.ie/jobs/

However, they'll only be a very small amount.

    It's all about connections.

Connections you make in college will lead to jobs (I still pass on jobs to college friends and get passed jobs from college friends years later)

Getting out and working as a runner on sets or for post productions houses once you're finished college will make more connections.

It's all about being good, being easy to work with and being able to network.

The work is there, it's not as well paid as it once was, but it's there.

    Don't worry.
