Free-to-air minimum requirements?

    Dear all,

    Could someone please tell me whether there are any minimum requirements as regard to free-to-air digital satellite kits (minimum dish size, number of LNBs to watch channels from different satellites, whether I need a motor or I can move the dish manually...)? Perhaps point me in the right direction?

    I'd like to buy a kit but also make sure it will work in Dublin before buying it. Would for example a 60cm dish with universal twin LNB be enough?

    Any help would be very much appreciated.

    I would recommend an 80cm dish with a vertical mount so you can upgrade it to motorised later. Make sure the receiver has diseq 1.2 or better. Have a look for suppliers in the "sticky" thread above
