Can anyone recommend any car valeters in Galway. I'm looking for the whole 9 yards (Army of workers with toothbrushes to spend about 8 hours on the car).

    Google has found:

    http://www.crystalclean.ie (Corrib Multistory Car Park)

    http://homepage.tinet.ie/~carwash/specials.htm (Galway carwash in Woodquay)

    Golden pages found me:

Galway Autobody - Ballybane Ind Est, Galway

    Thanks in advance.

To add if anyone has any Dublin valet recommendations too. I have to go to the uk in 2 weeks and the car will be left in Dublin airport for 3 days. Could maybe arrange something then..

Leave it in with Crystal Clean in block A off the multistory, they'll clean it and park it up for you for the duration of you trip away.

If you want to risk it say you work in the airport and get around 15% reduction.

Would you not just get a hoover and that "Shampoo in a can" and saved yourself 200 euro?

Sorry to sound like a muppet here but just yesterday I totally overhauled my interior. I used a decent hoover, carpet shampoo (6 euro from dunnes) a vanilla scent dash cleaner (4 euro from dunner) and a few cloths, along with a spray of window cleaner.

Took me 1.5 hours, overall cost about 12 euro. Saved myself at least 150 euro and the car is SPOTLESS

Hi Daveg - there is a place in Liosban beside Kennys, opposite O'Briens sandwich place and they are very good. It used be called the Transylvanian Car Wash or something. It is a husband-and-wife operation and it costs around €105 for the full deal.

Thanks for that. I know the place. "Transylvanian Car Wash" LMFAO. Have you used them interceptor? What did they do for that price?

I've been trawling through some previous posts on boards. It's seems there are a lot of operations in Dublin such as:

    http://www.bumper2bumper.ie/

    http://www.carcraft.ie/

    http://www.crystalclean.ie/carwash.htm

    http://www.kcvtrading.com/pricelist2.htm

    http://www.callawash.com/pages/697315/index.htm

Has anyone had any experieces with the above? Really looking for a recommendation rather than leave the car into a place I don't know.

JohnCleary - I know what your saying but I've just bought the car and want to get it tip top. I'll clean her every week then to keep up the shine.

A mate had his Passat cleaned and it was very good - they had spent ages and cleaned the fluff out of all the crevices. I'm a DIY man meself....

I'm also certain that the guys down in Barrys/Motorpark valet private cars but I can't vouch for their work.

    Any updates on this?
I'm looking for one in Galway today. I spotted a queue at the one at Hogan's at Ballybrit, is it worth queuing?
Does the one in Woodquay across from Lidl do valet? I know they do car wash.

I'm looking for someone to take paint flecks (house paint) off the body work, would valetes do it?

I used to use the place in Woodquay, but wasn't too happy with the results. Then tried the place in Roches, but on 2 seperate occasions I came back to find that the battery in the car was dead (2 different cars), and I had to get a friend to come into the carpark and jumpstart me! Then there was a place in the Merchants Road carpark (the ones who advertise "no water", but there was never anyone there and they didn't return phonecalls for appointments, so I gave up on them.

now I just use the maxol in Westside for their €40 jobs. See results here:

    Hope this helps.

The Tyre Centre in Barna village did a great job recently on my A4.

€120 for the full works mind but in fairness, the state I gave them the car in was shocking. More mud than car.

Looks good alright, nice looking car in the first place, the one I'm cleaning up is not as nice a car, 40 euro is a great price.

What do these guys usually clean, do they shine up the engine surfaces too?

I had a chat with the guys in Woodquay earlier, 150 for the Valet!!
I went over to Tesco and bought a bottle of upholestry cleaner and some petrol for the exterior. I think I'll spend a few hours with elbow grease first.

Left the car (141) into their Galway branch last Saturday for the full works. They quoted €150.00, this was to include detaring which I specifically sought clarification on. Collected the car 3 hours later poor enough detailing on the interior and no detaring done at all. When I inform the guy in-charge, he started giving off about the guys working there, something to the affect "you couldn't watch them". Found their work very shabby. I consider it a total ripoff. In case Crystal want to follow this up, I left the car in at 11:50am an collected it at 4pm , it was a BMW 5 series. You have all my contact details. l am willing to stand over anything l've stated here.
