Major signal fault impacting all services through Connolly for the second evening in a row. Delays of up to 30-40 mins by Irish Rail estimate, but may be more. DB accepting tickets.

Pretty disappointing DB Nightlink service this year. Worst in many years in my opinion. Was planning to head into town between Christmas day and New Year. No service at all on 28th or 29th or 30th...and obviously nothing on 25th or 26th.
Also none on Thursday 11th Dec (prime night for Christmas parties), yet are running on Tuesday 16th. Cannot see logic in that.
Can anyone else run on the nights DB have decided not to bother? Just curious.

According to the journey planner on Bus Éireann's website, there is a midnight, and 2am service from Dublin Bus Aras to Belfast, runninng from 26th June until 20th September.

The Belfast - Dublin - Belfast, Bus Éireann Translink Ulster Bus service, is usually every 2 hours between 11pm and 5am to and from Bus Aras Dublin and Belfast Europa Bus Centre.

While it stopped being a full hourly 24 hours service about four years ago, they ran extra services to and from Belfast at midnight, and 2am and 4am from June to September.

In the last two years they didn't run these extra services during the summer months, so at least these services would appear to be running this year.

According to Bus Éireann's journey planner there is also a service from the Europa Bus Centre Belfast at 4am that runs from 26th June till 20th September.

I didn't notice any updates, yet, on Bus Éireann's timetable updates section, or the news section of its website, of these additional services.

EDIT: It is now mentioned on the timetable updates section

    http://buseireann.ie/news_timetable.php?id=1799&month=Jun

"Bus Éireann wishes to advise customers of alterations to Expressway Route X1, Dublin - Dublin Airport - Newry - Belfast effective 28 June 2015. Changes to this route have been licensed by the National Transport Authority".
    Friday, 26th June, 2015."

Although, the statement does not clarify if the extra services are permanent, or from June till September.

It states on the timetable that the change comes into effect on Sunday 28th June, but a bus left Bus Aras for Belfast at midnight last Wednesday night.

There was news of a sercurity alert on the DART Line between Pearse Station & Tara Street today.I heard the announcement over the intercom while heading home from Sandymount DART Station this afternoon.

UPDATE: There was a status on Twitter about reports of a suspect object on the line between Connolly & Pearse. Delays have now eased on the line with knock-on delays possible.

There was ad in the papers on Monday saying the right turn from O'Connell St to Cathal Brugha Street is gone as of today (Wednesday). The alternative route goes around by 2 sides of Parnell Square and eventually down Hill St which is a 15 minute detour.
Do any buses use this right hand turn (747 does I think?).
