    Hi,

I have recently moved in an apartment and there was already a Eircom line in it. The line is blocked because the previous tenant left without paying the outstanding balance.

In order to get that sorted out, I had to send my tenancy agreement to Eircom. I've done that 1 month ago and the line is still blocked so I can't open a new account with any provider. I am calling them like everyday and they keep saying that they are waiting for an update and the Cancellation is in progress. They say to call back every 2 days to get an update but I've doing it for weeks now and still got nothing.

Could you please tell me what can I do to speed up things ?

    Thanks in advance.

OP - do you want me to move this to the Talk to eircom forum to see if the eircom reps there can help?

    Hi, thanks for your reply.

Well I've been already talking with them on their forum but they couldn't resolve the issue yet. They just tell me to wait 24-48 hours but they have been saying that for weeks.

It's really only a matter that they can resolve. I don't think anyone can help you here. As suggested the best way through boards in getting this solved is through their talk to forum.

If I recall correctly, the next step would be to write a registered letter to eircom, clearly marking it as "Formal Complaint". If they fail to respond to that, then you should get in touch with Comreg.
