Did you have luck getting employment in a relevant field after graduating?

Ehrm, no, I'm back doing what I was doing before - software development in telecoms, a combination that I swore blind I'd never return to, which obviously has zero to do with music. Thing is, the financially viable music field appears to be very limited in Ireland, and after graduating I needed financial independence - by whatever means - more than I did the need to pursue an artistic interest!

You're off to a good start if you have contacts in the industry, but because I don't and because I'm not an extrovert self-promoter (good luck to those who are) it didn't pan out that way for me. For those reasons, I often wonder if my doing the course was a waste of time, but I think that I just didn't pick the right course for me.

Nuts :/ Yeah, in the interview they were trying to figure out whether I was any good at networking, making industry contacts etc. They're trying to encourage graduates to develop their own businesses. I've heard a lot of graduates of that course have trouble getting relavant work.

Not to worry. Still looks like fun :)

The only semi-up-to-date picture of me that i can find is here. The two girls pictured (housemates' friends) woke me up and someone else took the picture of me for their blog. I had no idea what was going on and have no idea who those girls are.

    Agreed, and jockettes.

I'm in 1st year Mech Eng and I've noticed that there are very few girls with decent personalties, that I've come across. Maybe frequenting the boards here might open up that apparently missing sector

I have two female house mates from Kerry whos only interests are Getting legless and watching TV. I know a few from C&S (Archery, Mountain-Biking and Skynet) and some are cool (mostly Archery) but most are cracked

I reckon hope/luck died for both of you when I arrived back on Tuesday dragging that large dark cloud behind me. As Yoda once said "The dark side shrouds everything" (well me being the embodiement of the dark side in this case). Anyway back to work.

    Cheers
    Rory
