Some really nice ones here too, the whole city was covered on the 20th Dec; snow was all but gone on the 21st/22nd.

Also (slightly unrelated) some photos of an empty Downtown Vancouver on Christmas morning, apparently by an Irish photographer who used to do the same in Dublin:

I've done 9 winters in Vancouver and remember maybe 2 bad snow events. Last two years we've had 2 days of snow and both gone within a day.

It's great; I cycled the seawall in the sun today. I've to fly to Toronto later this month, and I'm bloody terrified of losing a limb to frostbite.

It's crazy how cold the weather we are getting but if you are staying downtown then pretty much the entire city centre can be travelled using the underground path http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toronto_path

Unfortunately not :/ I'm going there with work, they have me staying in Scarborough and working in Yorkville I think. Possibly Pickering too.

That PATH is partially what freaks me out! It's like moles or rabbits down in a hole, in this case it's to avoid the bad weather!

I'd much rather rain than cold (I don't mind snow, but not fond of cold which is a given) so I thought I'd give Van a shot. That said, those photos of Van in the snow are rather beautiful...;)
