I just want to clarify a misgiving that certain people seem to have. This is not the Spell Czechs, and I'm quite adamant about that.

In fact, any grammar nazism or inopportune pedantry will have serious consequences. I don't tolerate it in any other forum that I moderate, and the same goes for here.

One of the branches of linguistics that is most fascinating is (I think) Semantics, and that explores how language has developed beyond the formality of style guides to the point that if I say, "Howzagoin?", people understand what I'm saying.

There is no need for anyone to be concerned about their spelling or grammar in this forum, and if your spelling or grammar are attacked by anyone, please use the report a post icon (looks like a traffic sign, located at the bottom-right of every post) and I will act very seriously on it.

Edit: Also, due to the nature of the forum, I think that there should be an amount of nonsense involved. I like the idea of keeping things relevant, but some noise will be allowed.
