    • Cork DJs Stevie G (Red FM) and Colm K spinning dancefloor-friendly soul and hip-hop in the POD

Stevie G is one of the most prominent figures in Ireland when it comes to hip-hop and soul. He has been DJing in Cork since the early 90's in legendary club nights such as Sweat in Sir Henrys, and was twice nominated as Best Irish DJ at the Smirnoff Dance Awards. He has played in the United States and the U.K. on numerous occasions and also held down long term residencies at clubs around Ireland such as the Brown Sugar at the Kitchen in Dublin, U-Turn at Ri Ra in Dublin and Jazz Juice at the GPO in Galway.
Stevie has also been with Cork’s no. 1 radio station, RedFM since its inception. He has been presenting the Black On Red music show since January 2002. In October of that year Black On Red won Best Irish Music Radio Show at the Irish Radio Awards. Black on Red is Stevie G's specialist hip-hop, soul and R&B show that broadcasts between 7 and 10pm every Saturday night on RedFM. Stevie also plays a lot of funk, disco, jazz, reggae and dancehall and pays particular attention to the roots of modern hip-hop and R&B with a wide range of music specials which broadcast between 9 and 10pm every week. Black on Red also showcases upcoming Irish hip-hop and soul.
When he’s not DJing Stevie also finds time to write a music column for the Evening Echo and is a regular contributor to the U.K.'s Blues and Soul, the longest running black music magazine in the world.
