Quarantine on return to Ireland

Hi all, has anyone ever taken their dog to the USA and then back to ireland? If pet passport & vaccinations etc are up to date does the dog still have to go into quarantine for the required 6 months from a country that is not in the list of qualifying and approved countries? Cheers!

No, if you have the pet passport sorted before you leave Ireland then , no, it doesnt have to go into quarantine when you arrive back in Ireland.
