travel girls ad

It's definitely not a paid placed ad or anything we'd ever want to be linked with, we've been having problems with a few very dodgy Google ads the last few weeks-I'll add it to the list and it will be blocked tomorrow.

This is most definitely not what we want here at all. I'm going to see what's involved in getting me access to the Google ads account so that I can block these when the issue arises (most of you know I'm online most weekends).

As a side note the majority of paid-for client advertising that goes on across the whole distilled group (boards/daft/adverts/the journal) is given a going over by my eyes before hitting our network. So I kind of take dodgy ads getting through quite personally.

I've just seen the offending Travel Girls advert again on the front page, at approx 14.20 today.

This happened with another asian girls site too-I've just let the traffic manager know it's still appearing.

A certain amount of them are, but can be targeted based on the content of the page hence why they are showing up in PI's about escorts and such. But with google ads when we block them the advertisers can get crafty and have multiple click through urls (which is how we block them) to get around sites blocking their ads and that url will eventually redirect to their site.
