the truly shocking horror of what occured in Bray are now only coming to light.
These kids were rich, middle-class, educated, ambitious, pampered.
The main protaganist was a non-drinker.

What is happening to our young people?
    Were drugs involved?
Are falling property prices in Sth County Dublin to blame?
Is it the collapse of the Celtic Tiger?
Are our kids under too much pressure to achieve?

    Has anyone any answers?

No, these things happen unfortunately. Doesn't matter what background people come from, it has nothing to do with it at all. Looks like a crime of passion, which could happen to anyone.

A tragic event occurs in Bray so now all the southside 'yuf are "inherently violent"?

Violence is prevalent in all walks of life. It's human nature unfortunately.

    What makes them dart heads.

I know the girl involved quite well, thankfully she will be ok at least.

He's talking about upper-middle class kids committing violent crime.

Whether or not he's accurate and where he gets his information from is another story.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I thought that thing was so scary when I heard about it. Imagine stabbing your friend and his gf and then his brother as well. He is obviously an unstable guy

I'd heard he was playing GTA 4 before heading out. Could be that's what got him in such an aggressive mind set.

Could have been worse, what if he'd been playing pacman?

Let it be a lesson to all with lady gardens. Bajango's are potent weapons, learn how to use them wisely.

Jack the lad, reading your other posts it seems you simply have a problem with Dublin people. I don't know what happened to you in Dublin, or what some Dublin person did to you. But please, don't let this tragedy become a little soap box to make digs at Dubliners. There have been equally tragic situations in other parts of the country. A man burned his house down with his whole family in it in Wexford and a brother stabbed or hammered his sister to death in another part of rural Ireland not so long ago. A young student was raped and killed in Galway. However tragic, these incidents on the whole don't reflect on the people that live in the area. They are isolated horrible things that happen, the form of public transport in the area has nothing to do with it. As you can see, there are people on here that know a victim involved, so keep your uninformed comments to yourself.

    Good man.

    Bray's in Wicklow!?

And Cuala is probably the worst part of what is the only town in the Commuter belt not to have been affected in any way by the Celtic tiger. At one point in the nineties, local newspapers were reporting that 60% of the population of Bray were using class A drugs regularly.

Get your facts straight. This is the second time I've seen you post utter drivel.

Even if Bray was in Dublin, the county holds 28% of the population, it wouldn't be unusual to find that some people can't get along sometimes.

Edit: apologies, Mods, I didn't realise this thread had been locked.
