Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Why the hell is the budget on wed dec 7th - two and a half weeks before xmas - instead of wed dec 1st. Are they afraid that some people might be happy at xmas time and they want to make sure we all have a miserable one.

    I would have thought the 6,000,000,000 in cuts would have made more of a difference than the 7 days TBH

    and haven't they always held it on the first tuesday of december which that date is

    No it was always on on a wednesday - the first wednesday of december.

    its to keep all the culchies out of dublin. the traditional exodus towards dublin on the 8th wont happen because the bugdet will leave everyone broke the day before and dublin will stay clean instead of being covered in cow shit and smelling like turf

    Ah farmers day, that absolute worst day to be working in retail, how I loathed being asked for "Richie Kavanagh vidjos" in an age where we hadnt sold VHS in about 4 years. "Sure we dont have a day-vee-day player!" Anyone who got Dec 8th as their scheduled day off was hated for the rest of the year, avoiding the smell of cabbage around the shop, lucky bastards.

    They should give the budget on Christmas day. Smash up their holidays nicely. Execution for all those that fail to attend or vote with FF.
