Jeepers no. I hate Internet Explorer, it's far too slow!

Thanks so much. Found a YouTube to MP3 type thing that's quite good, that's all I really wanted it for. :D

Tbh that's his own fault so, it's easy to get out there and meet people and have a great time. Rent is pricey enough in the city centre, but go up or out a bit and it's not that bad, we lived right in the middle of things and ours was pricey but friends living about 15 min subway ride out of the main part were in much cheaper places. Food is very cheap there though, as are lots of tourist activities, public transport, eating out, drinks aren't too bad price wise either. If you want to pm me for any info feel free.

I will indeed, when I stayed there it was a with friend and they lived in an apartment block not too far from the Skydome (I'm not calling it the Rogers Centre :pac: ) and they were pricey enough, Toronto appeals a bit more as its closer to places like New York and Chicago etc (well shorter flights, still long ass drives) whereas Vancouver is waaaaay over the other side.

Just home. Have to be up in about five hours. Won't be home tomorrow night until 1am or thereabouts. I have so very tired and nervous, meaning I probably won't sleep much tonight. Oh the fun times!

14 hour bus ride to NYC, I didn't find it too bad, it was so cheap compared to flying so that won me over! Boston is really close too. I was about 10 mins from where you stayed, to the West, near the street that used to be my name here :)

we drove from Toronto to Detroit (now that was a sh1thole) which was around 4hrs or so driving, was cool though, I thought it was funny how you can literally see the scenery change from Canada to America as you cross the border, what was lots of forests and stuff becomes nothing but empty fields and burnt out cars as you get closer to Detroit. we drove up 8 Mile for about 30 seconds and decided that two white guys in a rental car probably wasnt the best idea lol

Friends of mine got off a bus in Compton, they were escorted out of the bus station into a taxi and told that being white people there at dusk was just way too dangerous and to get out. We drove to Montreal, 400km of straight motorway, yawn! But great to be able to do it. Flights to Vegas were really cheap from TO too.

I think it's a good mix of disgusting/hilarious and interesting, so you're not alone! :o
What I don't get is people who have had an illness for years and never got it treated, being too embarrassed to go see a doctor and then gone on television with it!?

I use internet explorer. Is that bad? :(

Just signed up for a month's free trial of Netflix.
Certainly won't be paying for it any time soon- it's rubbish! There's certainly much there that I don't already own on DVD (I have well over 500 DVDs) or would like to watch.
    Disappointed. :(

aha, you need to get the American one, that has ALL the tv shows, and well worth the 6.99 a month. now thanks to Sean Sherlocks dumbassery I cant post how to get around it on here anymore so pm me. I got rid of most of my dvd collection so its dead handy for me, sell dvds, make monies, most of it is now right there at the click of a button, yay.

I won't sleep tonight, feeling a bit off and it was very unfortunate timing to read an article about an illness a relative died of that my current "feeling off" status can be a symptom of, so no sleep for me and I'm accompanying boyfriend to the doc first thing in the hopes of getting an appointment for myself, awesome, down another €50, as if I wasn't broke enough.

Lol, I was basically told to gtfo of Harlem before. This security guy just took one look at me and was like "...seriously?".

Same thing happened in the Tenderloin in San Fran, this guy in a car stopped and told us to gtfo...in the middle of the day.

My mom and uncle walked through Hell's Kitchen in 1985 without knowing where they are, they thought the locals weren't too friendly looking but just kept walking, 26 and 23 years of age from rural Ireland!

I thought the locals were quite nice. They didn't really bother you, just did their own thing really. (Read "own thing" as "drank themselves into comas and got so strung out on meth that they were basically just shells of human beings").
Also, the beggars always prefaced their conversations with "hey, I'm not a mugger" and "hey, I'm not going to stab you", which I thought was really considerate. Good manners. Who wouldn't like to hear that?

    3am and can't sleep.
Shouldn't have watched the Buffy episode Hush tonight.
I hate The Gentlemen. If I sleep they'll get me.

On the plus side I set up the US netflix. Who needs sleeps when I've more films than I can watch in an entire year!
