@AIR-AUSSIE that sounds like me alright. I was worried about getting over the climb as it used to be that I'd be dropped once the road went up. At least I can say the training is working and I can lay the blame on my equipment...

i have to say i enjoyed my day. I didn't know what to expect as it was my first tour. As i haven't done anywhere near 100k before i decided to go with the bronze group in the hope that id just finish. The bronze group had only about 10 of us in it. I tried to stay at the front as much as i could and got talking to peadar, colm and paul. I worked well with colm on the way back to dundalk from ardee into the headwind. We stopped at the garage at the bottom of Jenkinstown hill to wait do peadar and paul. Found the hill easier than expected but then again i didn't race up it. The Foodstop at the top was nice and after that i lost everybody as my bottle holder wanted to come off. Ended up catching two ladies down the road and tried to push it on to catch somebody up ahead. Caught Eddie and Sean outside carlingford and stayed with them the whole way home. Started to feel my legs around here too so it was a matter about just getting home. Finished in 5 hours and loved every minute including the weather. I'll have to be quicker next year to get a bit of hot food. Can't wait. Thank you again to cuchullainn club and the mentioned lads above
