Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post:)

But anyway, what I want to know is: where is the Leaving Cert Japanese oral held?

I have been searching for a while now, but I can't find any information, other than I have to travel up to Dublin. If someone could give me the address of the building (and perhaps some directions on how to get there after taking a bus/train from Co. Offaly) that would be great.

Who told you that you have to travel up to Dublin?

The examiner will come to your school.

My schools guidance counselor told me that I'd have to go up to Dublin. She said it would be impossible for examiners in such an unusual subject to visit schools for small number of students.

Ugh guidance counselors. The examiner will come to your exam center. Did you fill out Japanese on your exam choice form? If you have done so, the examiner will be in contact with your school closer to the oral exam period and will come in and hold the exam just like Irish, French etc.

To get all the facts straight for certain go ahead and contact the Examinations commission directly they're usually good when it comes to replying with queries. http://www.examinations.ie/index.php?l=en&mc=co&sc=ct
