Shannon is practically a new US Forces base at this stage, from a C-130 right thru to a C-17 and more!

For military stuff it is hard to, unless you have "contacts" ;)

Military stuff is blocked/doesnt show on usual public flight trackers so its just luck of the draw

Can you just clarify, is this an Actual IAC EX Fouga CM170 or do you mean it's just a CM170 like we used to Operate?

I'm afraid there won't be much new craft to add until the Typhoons come down in Sept/October.

I'll keep sticking up any interesting shots I get, mainly of the F3s.
Let me know if you get sick of seeing them. :)

    Hi Killinator,

Not a bad effort but slightly out of focus on most shots and not properly focused on the Aircraft themselves as in more of them are taken at a distance, im wondering what settings are you using? The reason i ask is to help you as Vulcan and i could give you some tips.:)

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,465 ✭✭✭highlydebased

With fading/little light it is very difficult to get a good photo IMO

It was actuallty the fading light most of the time and as you may be able to see in the 4th photo, quite a substantial haze, the camera was trying to decide what settings to use while I was trying to use my own preferred settings, eg: it was trying to use flash but I didnt want it and with the poor light it wasnt focusing as fast as I would have liked,
For the Ryanair touching down I was turning to follow it in and I slipped just a little bit(I dont have a tripod yet)
But still any advice on settings is much appreciated

Ah i get you now, definately a tripod for failing light shots anyway as long as the Aircraft are more or less still.

Have a look midway through the second post on the following thread. It shows you how to embed clips.
