well we had left 4 dead 2 beta , but now we have left 4 dead 2 (beta)

Is anyone else getting this at ridiculously low speeds? I was getting it at 1KB/s earlier. Altered my settings a bit and now I'm averaging around 40KB/s. It's going to take more than a day to get what's remaining.

did you check to see if you are downloading from ireland and did you tell them you have cable (10mb+) and you dont have dl limits? Plug yourself into the modem by a cat 5 , just for testing if you are on wifi
also there is a strain on steam dl severs given it is the sale time as well

Edit: just done a check for you i am getting 3mbs which is slow but id say that becasue of the sale . You should be getting arround that.,

Can't get Portal to work. :(

Need to build a gaming rig. I depend on my laptop for everything, its a bit too much to depend on it for gaming aswell.

I broke my steam. :( I ran out of disk space on the partition that it was installed on, so I moved it to another one and softlinked it (like the internet told me to) and now it is arsed. :/ Even a bind mount and it wont run.

edit: nvm, fixed with a reboot. (the shame :()

Could 'Other' refer to any other OS other than Linux?

Well, Other was always there before linux , although always droping. If you look at Febuarys revised stats you can see it the best broken down. there is hints of older macs and windows that nobody uses , but they dont make up 0.25% and droping . I think its fair to say it mostly linux. hard one to call, But i would say if you count other as all linux it would compensate for the wine users

I believe it was on a humble bundle a few months ago. you had to pay over the average though.

EDIT: nope , only the first one was.

The first one was free for awhile on steam before THQ went under. Would love if Deep Sliver released SR4 on linux.

    At let's say 11?

I'll try to arrange a game of tf2 next week but would require a bit more planing.
