If its Mon to Fri there is a 41 bus that leaves Abbey Street at 5am,it only takes about 20min to get to the airport at that time. There is also a 747 express bus from O'Connell street at 05:15.

Or there is the Aircoach, though it's more expensive.

Very true but at this time of the morning it would be a waste of money IMO as the 41 will only take about 25min and cost less than 2 euro were Aircoach is 7 or 8.

Aircoach though is handy if coming from the southside as it begins in Ballsbridge or Loepardstown.

See our flight is at 6:25 so would like to be there by 5.40 at the latest because we all know what Ryanair can be like.

Depending on were you are in the city the 05:00 41 from Abbey street would get you there before 05:30,if you are on the south side the Aircoach would be your best bet.

Just after 4:30 Aircoach passes Westmorland Street

Its quite busy easily 25-30 on board, should be in the airport by 4:55

Used it myself recently quite happy, worth the cash if you need to be at the Airport for 5am

A taxi from OConnell St to airport is about €17. Aircoach is€ 7 or €8 per head, so depending on how many are travelling a taxi may be the best option...

A cab would be nearer €25 from the main thoroughfare at that hour of night

Truth be known, it would be a little more practical to get to the airport at that hour of night; you still need to get to the Aircoach/41/747 to get them if not handy to their routes (Hope you are, OP)
