Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

It really depends on how close your frame's mc is to an off-the-shelf PIC and even then you'd need to have a frame that can update its firware via USB and know how to hack the firmware to reprogram the mc. Even then, you'd need to write a wee low-CPU-usage program to write compatible image data to the frame
Its darn interesting for mods though, as small VGA panels are incredibly expensive as are USB/VGA/DVI > LVDS universal panel controllers for use with a cheap run-of-the-mill LVDS panel. And given the death of S-Video/Composite analog transmission standards, ripping panels and their mcs out of cheap/damaged appliances and reprogramming them for use as USB monitors is the way forward for many a modding project
