Hello to All Graphic Designers! How are you doing?

Who we are: We are a group of 4th year Visual Communication students and we are organising design challenge for 2d, 3d and 4th year students of Graphic Design and Visual Communication of the LYIT in Letterkenny. The name of the challenge is ‘Let’s be Brief’ and our main goal is to help students to solve a problem of approaching a Brief.

Challenge: The students will be divided to 4 groups (CMYK). Each group will get the same Brief and within 2 hours will have to come up with an interesting and creative visual solution (poster design) for a local charity Donegal Pet Rescue. The designed judged as the best will be later printed and 20 copies of it will be given to charity.

Opportunity: This is an opportunity to do something fun, challenge yourself and help Donegal Pet Rescue to get more attention and highlight the issues that are important, regarding those who can’t speak for themselves The Animals...

GRAPHIC DESIGNERS! WE NEED YOUR HELP:
We are now looking for 4 designers from the industry (both freelancers and those working for design companies) who would be able to lead our 4 teams of students during the challenge and would give a short 10-15 min talk on how to approach the Brief in general (How do you as a designer approach the Brief?, is there anything that you think is significant when it comes to solving a Brief? Are there any tips or advice that you can give?)

Place & Time: The challenge would take place on the 9th of April 2014 in the LYIT in Letterkenny from 9.30 to 1.30 in rooms 3336 and 3337. The event will be recorder and photographed and later commemorated on a specially designed website.
If you think that you would like to help us with this challenge and you care about the fate of homeless animals of Donegal do not hesitate and contact me on L00084192@student.lyit.ie

Be a designer who makes a difference!

    Kind Regards,
    Agnieszka.
