Cat - only child or should we get her a sibling?

We are the proud parents of the most beautiful cat in the world. We're living abroad at the moment and she of course came with us. We were at the vets the other day and he suggested that we think about getting her a brother or sister because she's strictly indoor only and may get lonely sometimes (although she never seems down or anything).

Generally she's in great form - has the run of the place and seems happy in herself. We are hesitant because if we move back home in a couple of years it will cost probably 2000 for her alone to bring her home so add another cat to that and it doubles..

Do you think she'll be ok on her own for a while? If we decide to stay here for good we'll definitely be getting her a brother or sister (and probably a dog too!) but right now we're not sure.. She's 3.5 now so is there an age where she will be really against another cat?

Some cats love company others prefer to be a one cat household, you know your cat best if you do get one perhaps a rescue could help match one that will get along with your cat. It's really up to yourself you need to work out yourselves whether you can afford to take the two back home.
