Keyboard Keys Intermittently Stop Working

Only recently bought a new laptop and have noticed that diagonal lines of keys would stop working. For example the spacebar , l p - keys and the enterbutton . ; [ = keys would just randomly stop responding. Its always only those two diagonal lines that stop working. Ive ruled out a software problem as the keys wouldn't…

Only recently bought a new laptop and have noticed that diagonal lines of keys would stop working. For example the spacebar , l p - keys and the enterbutton . ; [ = keys would just randomly stop responding.

Its always only those two diagonal lines that stop working. Ive ruled out a software problem as the keys wouldn't even work when messing around in the bios but ive also noticed that if I lift the laptop for a bit, the keys will come back to life for a while until I place it down again, which has me thinking is it heat that is causing the problem as there are vents on the underside.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
