Anyone out there got first hand experience of setting up an indoor bmx/mtb bike track along the lines of Ray's tracks in USA?? They look like a really good solution to those familiar problems of a)Irish weather and b)practising skills in a controlled environment. With so many disused factories and warehouses around this country should suit also for venues. I'm guessing the old bugbear of insurance is going to be a major headache but I'd love to know if there's anyone with similar ideas. I live in Co Tipperary and have made an appointment with Rural Enterprise Development people but would like to do more homework before meeting.
For those who don't know about these tracks, they vary from pump tracks, bmx ramps and any time of obstacle including foam pits in some cases.

    Hiya,

If it's a BMX race track then Liam Collins is the man you need to speak to. Liam built the indoor track in Cherry Orchard 3 years back.

If it's a freestyle type thing then I'd suggest the Ger up in D.10
