You may already have the CWGC information?
Son of James and Elizabeth Cranley; husband of Hannah Cranley, of Bonhill, Dunbartonshire

Most likely the parents' marriage in 1912.

    Party 1 Name JAMES CRANLEY
    Party 2 Name ELIZABETH PURCELL
Date of Event 14 February 1912
    Group Registration ID 1992456
    SR District/Reg Area Tipperary

I'll let you take it from there, don't want to spoil the thrill of the hunt for you :pac:

Cheers, that is just what I wanted, confirmation that he was son of James & Elizabeth of Bohercrowe. I will look for his marriage record.

    Many thanks

Yep, I had the marriage record and some of the children's birth records. I didn't know about John.
I already had death details of James & Elizabeth & some of their children.

    Thanks again.

Just looked at his age - 31 years old so should have been born 1912/13, the only son for this couple showing on Irish Genealogy at that time was James. Maybe he had 2 names James John or else a transcription error.
