Yep that's the one. Rented it in my early teens, completely ignorant of the contents. The toilet scene caught me and my parents by surprise...:o

Has Weekend at Bernies raised it's head yet? So cheesy and what a terrible plot, had to be one the finest moments surely?

To my shame, I have yet to see Stand By Me...

Classic movie (although strangely dated when you watch it now)
Only Sean Connery could get away with playing a Spanish nobleman with a Scottish accent:D

Big Trouble in Little China is the perfect 80's movie. A must for everyones DVD collection.

Does anyone remember 'The Secret Of My Success' with Michaael J. Fox or 'Vice Versa' with Judge Rheinhold. Of all the films that could have first popped into my mind when I saw this thread, these were it!

Other Films that belong to the 80's and would be out of place in any other era:

    Masters of the Universe
    Teen Wolf
    Crocodile Dundee
    Mannequin
    Big
    Splash
    Jumping Jack Flash
    Howard the Duck
    Action Jackson
    Cobra
    Raw Deal
    No Retreat, No Surrender
    Kick Boxer
    Romancing The Stone
    Nightmare on Elm St.
    Twins

Can't believe nobodies mentioned this yet

    Full Metal Jacket

    Favourite Quote
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: How tall are you, private?
    Private Cowboy: Sir, five-foot-nine, sir.
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: Five-foot-nine, I didn't know they stacked **** that high.

    Ah Classic :D

    TOP GUN.

    Best part:
    Maverick: Requesting permission for flyby.
Air Boss Johnson: That's a negative ghostrider, the pattern is full.

Such a great film will have to watch it this evening.
