yamaha p165 points and condesor

with all this bad weather its time to get at a few old outboards i have .
at the moment im working at a old yamaha p165 8hp.
cant get it to fire so checked out a few things,
spark seems very weak ,have tried cleaning the points but its still weak
does anyone know besides an outboard shop were points and condensors can be got at a reasonable price. anyones iv found seem to be silly prices for what they are,
maybe someone knows ones from a motorbike that fit ,

I'd say it's more than likely the coils and I think those coils were used on Yamaha fs1e, dt50,dt80,rd50 and rd80 2 stroke bikes should be handy enough to get on eBay.

hi mate.
ya i had seen them coils alrite,
they would do the job.
just was thinking it may be the points and condensors as the spark is weak.

Is the spark week on both cylinders.

ya weak on both,
worse on the top cyl,
when switched wires from points it reverses,
thats the reason iv came to thinking the problem is under the flywheel.
