Just got this yesterday! ESP LTD EC-1000 Amber Sunburst with Duncans (JB/59). Apologies for the dodgy cameraphone picture and outrageously camp bedspread.

Also, have almost finished my attempt at a 1x12 cab. Had to abandon it for the last month or so, all that's really left is to mount the jack dish and speaker and then tolex it.

    - Man of taste, I must say.

I'd love to have one of those. However I already have one guitar and I can't have two of them. At least not now. But the truth is - I can't play :-)

Here is my black beauty - secondhand Epiphone Les Paul Special II (by mobile phone):

    My little collection:
Apologies for the low-quality pictures, my digital camera appears to have vanished into thin air so I had to use the camera on my mobile phone.
This acoustic came from Guitar Centre in Boston in 2001. It has served me very well even if it was one of the cheapest acoustics in the shop the day I walked in :). It's a brand called Mitchell which I know nothing about.
    acousticbt2.jpg

Next up we have a Peavey Predator bought from Modern Music in Galway in 2003. I had wanted a seven string for a while so when it appeared in the window one Saturday morning all I could think was "Yoink" :). Unfortunately it's not a great guitar. The stock pickups are very fuzzy sounding. The neck is very thick and it feels nasty at the higher frets. Beside it is a Squier Precision bass which was also bought from Modern Music. This was the second guitar I ever owned. It was bought sometime in 1996. I still play bass the odd time and although you can't see it in the picture, it's just had new strings put on.
    peaveyandbassyd4.jpg

Lastly we have an American Series Fender Strat bought in Guitar Centre in Boston in 2001. I had been working in Boston that summer and I bought this guitar the morning I was flying home. I wasn't particularly well informed about guitars at that stage so I simply walked into the shop, spotted a recognisable brand and bought it. I knew I didn't like Gibson guitars but I didn't really know any other brands. I do remember seeing BC Riches there but the spikey guitars just weren't what I was looking for. Beside the strat is an Ibanez K7. This was bought after getting recommendations from various helpful Boardsies so thanks guys! A special thank you to Karl Hungus as well for letting me loose on his collection so that I could actually play the guitar before I bought it. One of my worries was that I would buy the guitar withough having played it first and realise that it didn't suit me for some reason. Thankfully that didn't even come close to happening. This really is a fabulous guitar. The balance is perfect, the neck feels great, the stock pickups sound clear as a bell, even changing strings isn't as much of a chore as the other seven string :). I would prefer if it had a tone control beside the volume control but that's only a small detail.

malice, don't be throwing astrophysics at me man, I just doodle around on Fenders, that's all. :p

Anyway, in keeping with the spirit of the thread, here's an old pic of the family on a day out. I have another 1.5 guitars but they're not exactly, em, photogenic at the moment.

    The collection...
    spa0199uk4.jpg

The Explorer is definitely my favourite.

Seeing as we're on the subject, there's a Fame Baphomet IV Ltd. Edition in there. The tanglewood bass only has 3 strings, and a dodgy machine head. Just bought a replacement for that but couldn't be arsed putting it on at this moment in time.

The acoustic cost me €100 in Waltons a few years back and I'm very happy with it. Plays very nicely considering the price, and I have carted it all over the world with me and since it only cost €100 I couldn't really care less if it gets banged around.

If you go to jackofspeed.bebo.com and listen to Fallout (New Version), you can hear the bass on it's own at the beginning of the song.

To be honest I'm not overly impressed with it. Still getting some fretbuzz off it after dropping it in to Waltons for a set up. Actually I don't really think they did anything apart from raising the strings at the bridge a tiny bit more than I'd already done. They only charged me €15 for it in the end.

I have a Warwick Rockbass as you can see there. I lived in Cologne for a year and played the Ltd Edition Baphomet then and was amazed at how good it was. When it finally came back in stock 2 years later I went for it and ordered one. Kinda wish I'd kept the money and gone for a Jazz bass instead now. It's a bit too similar to the Rockbass (I'm aware it's supposed to be similar). Dunno if I like the MEC pickups. Maybe I'll swap them out for something different.

Oh well I guess I'm stuck with it now, it wouldn't be worth much if I went to sell it due to most people never having heard of it. Paid €1000 for it. I'd appreciate it alot more if I eventually sell the Rockbass and get me a Jazz bass. I guess I just don't think it's all that much better than my rockbass is. Not to say Fame's aren't worth the purchase. The one I played every other week for a few months back in 2006 was great, just the one they sent me didn't really live up to it at all. The perils of buying a bass over the net.

Here's a better picture of it...
    spa0161zn2.jpg

The finish was supposed to be darker. The darker finish looks alot nicer and blends with the non maple top finish at the back much better.

My electric. It's a cheap Behringer Strat copy but it plays lovely, the bridge pick up on it sounds amazing, the neck pup is alright but the middle one sounds a bit muddy. All I've done is lower the action on it to make it nicer and is is brilliantly set up

Also my amp, Vox AD30VT, and my acousitc, Epiphone Dove, both smallcamera phone pics, I'll try get some decent ones
