People thought that about Marlon aswell. Why would we want to sign a player that wasnt a regular starter for an inferior team?
I hope our days of signing English players just because they are English are over.

By now I trust Lambo to make the right call on players, tbh. He stood by Benteke when he looked pants in his first few games and look at the player he became.

I don't think anyone thought Harewood was a good signing. I'd have Le Fondre before Gabby tbh. He offers more all round

I wouldn't be ruling KEA out from being a decent player yet. Some take a bit longer to adjust to the premiership. He's got a fair bit about him, it's just a case of whether he'll get to grips with the pace and how the game is played in England

I think he offers very little tbh, got a few goals off the bench then stopped scoring again, Gabby is miles ahead of him overall as he can stretch teams something Le Fondre doesnt do

I agree. In flashes he has looked promising. JPA took 2 or 3 seasons to settle. No reason not to hold onto him even as a squad player to see if he progresses.

Le Fondre would only be an alright signing. He hasn't played that well when he's actually started games, decent finisher but his overall play isn't that great. If we sold Bent and replaced him with Le Fondre, that would be a downgrade definitely.

I don't think it would tbh. Bent is obviously far better, but he's almost completely ineffective within our system. There's no point having him here if we're not playing to our strengths. Le Fondre off the bench would, imo, be a much better option than Bent off the bench
