Woooo! Sligo was mentioned in the trailer.

One of the player's said "his parents were from Sligo... which is just North of Dublin."

Just North of Dublin?....... And i thought i was bad at Geography.

baseball has always been popular here, we just call it rounders. And we usually stop playing around the time we hit puberty.

The interesting thing is that they're auctioning off the executive producer credit on ebay.

It doesnt have any bids yet. It's starting at €1000. If I had that much money, I'd buy it. That'd be cool.

Low budget films flogging credits isn't new, and if thats the price of your self esteem, you can be bought cheap.

I've worked on films where guillble fools, I mean, wannabe actors, paid for the honour of being extras.

But a film about baseball in Ireland. No. No, no no, no.

It'd be like cool running, without the wit and charm,

    oh and no John Candy.

I just think it would be cool to be in the imdb with a credit for executive producer.

My sister is on IMDB, and she does press for fair city.

Why don't you, I dunno, make a film, and then have a credit you earned to get on there.

no its the other way around people were playing rounders long before baseball :)

    According to Wikipedia
Irish rounders is an Irish version of rounders which is very similar to softball, the chief difference being that the distance between bases is 90 ft (27.4 m), as in baseball, rather than 60 ft (18.3 m).

    Look we colonised them, therefore

baseball is cricket and rounders combined and made more dull

american football is rugby for sissys

we drive on the Right side of road.

    And it's spelt colour; C-O-L-O-U-R

We drive on the left actually. And Baseball's definatley more interesting than cricket. Cricket games last days at a time.

dunks head on the keyboard as pun about left and right, and the correct (right) side flies far far away over your head.
