Don't know if anyone be interested in this but anyway.
Received the Bulli A2 repairable atomiser yesterday, takes 3 weeks to get it after ordering.
Alec and Gryzor seemed to think the A2 was better than the A2 tank version for performance and setting up so went with that advice.

    http://www.bulli-smoker.com/verdampfer-atomizer/bulli-smoker-a1-atomizer-2.html

Pic of mine with eGo 900 mAh battery and eGo cone from the Bulli site.
(Seems i got pic size spot on when i put mine up to the pic)

    2q1s4sk.png

    a2-offen-3.jpg

With this, i can replace the coil and wick to whatever resistance i want, i will be using Joye eGo-T batteries which are around the 3.4 Volts.

A video on how to repair the atomiser is here which was done on the A1 version but am using same procedure for the A2 as the video is on the A2 page on the site when buying.
There is a tank version but as Alec and Gryzor said it can be hard to get right and a lot of users on other sites recommend the A2.

To do the above i will need some extra wick and resistance wire to practice with.
I got 10 metres of wick which i believe is hard to source, the resistance wire i believe is Kanthal D - 0.15 mm and got an extra 5 metres of that but in future i may get Kanthal D - 0.16 mm from here instead of the Bulli site.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280559037837
    or
    http://tinypay.me/search/#q=tag:kanthal-heating-resistance-wire

Robbed this off another site but he explains the resistance well..

''The resistance is set by the effective length of the wire, and the cross-sectional area of the wire.
I say effective length, because tightly packed coils will short out. If two coils are touching, the effective length is reduced by one coil.

0.20 Kanthal wire has a resistance of 43.8ohms per metre. To get a 1.5ohm coil, you need to use a 34.25mm length of wire (1000/43.8 x 1.5). Note that this is the length of exposed wire between the terminals. The wire clamped inside the terminal is shorted by the terminal itself, and doesn't count.

How you wind the wire doesn't affect the resistance, as long as it doesn't short back to itself.
A straight piece of wire 34.25mm long will have the same resistance as a 34.25mm length with two big coils, or 3 medium coils, or 4 small coils, or five tiny coils.

The layout of the coils around the wick affects how the heat is transferred to the juice, and thus the amount and quality of vapour produced. This is where experimentation comes into play. I'd guess that a longer, looser, coiled section would work better than a short, tight, coiled section with longer ends. That's only a guess, mind.

Thinner wire has a higher resistance. In theory resistance is inversely proportional to the cross-sectional area, or the square of the radius of the cross-section. 0.13 wire has more than twice the resistance of 0.20 wire. I say in theory, because the figures don't work out exactly, but are pretty close. I guess maybe skin effect plays a part?
Whatever, the quoted ohms per metre lets you work out how much wire to use to get the required resistance - 1.5ohms needs:

    34.25mm of 0.20 wire
    22.5mm of 0.16 wire
    15mm of .013 wire ''

It would be very hard i think at this early stage to work with short distances like that as it does take practice to get it right but i have a good idea how to get the resistance i want.
A multimeter is needed to measure the resistance by placing the probes on the screws.

    rgw0tz.jpg

And by putting an extra loop around the wick will help would help ensure it does not touch off the inside threads although ya be using alot of wick.

    59x16e.jpg

Blank Cartridges DSE-701 fits onto the atomiser.
    http://www.thevapourstore.ie/blank-cartridges/5-blank-cartridges-for-dse-701/prod_188.html

    The cost was..
€50 for the stainless steel A2 atomiser.
€16 for 10 metres of wick.
€10 for 5 metres of resistance wire
€10 for stainless steel cone to make it look better on eGO battery
    €7 registered delivery

All in all it was €92:45 to be exact which is alot of cartomisers some will say or around 9 atomisers but i wanted something that will last longer and something to play with.

I think when heading out i will use a DCC in case i was to lose it or anything or maybe buy another in future.
If all you want is plug and play then this is'nt for you as there is alot of thinkering with this but very rewarding.

Would not work straight out of the box yesterday as 3 batteries i had was not making contact properly. I thought there was a problem with the way it came regarding the winding so i wasted a bit trying it myself but was a good learning curve!

After some reading and fiddling about i got it firing up, so went and made a coil at 2.3 Ohms making sure to have it on opposite of the air hole.

So far it has been excellent, great taste, smooth draw with plenty of vapour. Feels very clean vaping, no leaking or drops going into your mouth.
I'm itching to take it apart to try new resistance and coils etc as there is so many options with this atomiser. I could write for ages about different aspects of it but it's definitely the King of Vapour for me so far.

All of the above is alot to take in and i left a fair bit out, but once ya flick through the threads below it will make alot more sense.

Jaze, you'd need a cigarette after that! :D

Fair play to you. I'd be in the 'a lot of cartomisers' camp myself, though.

    Not your ornery onager

Well done. My one reservation is being confined to using cartridges which are pretty useless if you vape at higher voltages. Is the capacity the same as the 510 cartridge? There's an excellent tutorial/review of the tank version here:

I will always have a couple cartomisers handy to use when on a night out and they seem to work great and seem reliable though a little bit too harsh for me.
I like the taste of the juices out of this atty, change to whatever resistance i want and repair it straight away when neccesary.

I have only vaped with the eGo batteries regulated at 3.4 v so far so don't know about vaping at different voltages. When looking to buy this i would of probably preferred to see a tank on the A2 being familiar with the tanks but now that i have used the 701 cartridge it does'nt bother me in the slightest as the way the whole thing works is far superior to anything i have tried.

After reading about the A2-Tank, i was glad i went with the A2 as ya have to also get the wick in the spike so less to worry about it performing good.

Regards the capacity, i just take the filler out , pour some juice in halfway, place filler back in and pour some more on top and leave it a while. Not bothered about how much it takes as it performs and wicks so well.

One of the lads that's more experienced with the Bulli will answer you better than me.

Ya can try the Italian Mod to turn the cartridge into a tank which i will do later and see...

    A drip tip adapter...
    http://www.vapor-age.com/701-mouth-piece-to-510901-drip-tip-adapter-_p_51.html

Just made a new coil at 2.2 Ohms in less than 5 mins and works a treat also.

Derra, your some man to risk that much cash, must be the fortune your savin on analogs.
Sooo tempting to get one of these.
94 euro tho, might have to drop some hints for the xmass pressie. What! no it's not too soon to start ;)

Good man Tommy, hope all is well.
I see it as an investment Tommy, well i do now seeing as it works so well :)
Could of easily been put up For Sale so was a bit of a risk.
I would definitely read up on those threads i linked to to make sure it's something ya would like to use.
I spent €92 but you could bring the cost down to about €65 with less wick, wire and and no cone. I just got the extra as it's €6.99 for postage each time if buying wick from there.

Would love to have a variable voltage for extra options using the Bulli, might look at the eGo booster as don't have the money for Provari or the likes.

    Seen this http://ukvapers.com/topic/8487-we-knew-it-wouldnt-be-longsub-75-factory-produced-vv/ ?
Might be a less expensive option. If you can wait till this vaper ware is no longer 'vapor ware'

Will hang on and see what the reviews are like when people start getting them.
Would like to see Irish shops get these ones though..

Great review derra, specially like the links for the wire. Bulli site is a bit pricey for that. Did you come across any for wicking?? I found one thread on ukv some time ago, but i lost interest after about 30 pages of nattering...

I usually go for 4 turns, and that gives me about 2.1ohm....vapes well for me on an ego @3.4...at home then i lash it onto the provari @ 3.7, slight more flavour and vapour...

It's bugging me that i can't get the tank version running properly, i use a 50\50 mix, so maybe i'll try a 100% pg mix and see how that goes...

The wick is froma UK crowd called Hattersley's but they don't sell small amounts of wick, there is a minimum amount that has to be bought but this is the thread ya refer to..
    http://ukvapers.com/topic/7447-fibreglass-wick-group-buy/
    http://www.hattersley.co.uk/wicks.htm

If there is a couple more Bulli users or people that need wick we can do a group buy ourselves.

There is a video on YouTube about putting a new filter in the 701 cartridge and can't find it right now but i think this is the stuff he uses, that brand anyway.
    http://www.zooplus.ie/shop/fish/filters_pumps/filters_and_pumps/caniter_filter/126290

I will just buy the cartridges off the Vapourstore while they have them.

Must be so handy to up the voltage when it pleases ya with the Provari

Hope ya get the tank version working, am sure there be a tip in a thread somewhere that will get it going properly for ya.

Yeah 4 turns gets me at 2.2 Ohms with the 0.15 wire, might do an extra turn next time but am gonna try hold out and see how long the current wiring and wick lasts.
Gave it a wash earlier and a dry burn, think certain juices and their ingredients causes a bit of gunk on the wiring.

I'd be on for a group buy if it's doable...

I contacted the vapoustore about the carts, she said they were only stocking them for the sake of customers who had bought 701's from them in the past. So, we might see them disappear soon. Refilling the filler on the carts would be alright, the plastic casing seems durable enough methinks...

Whats the weight of the SS one like?? I got the aluminium one, very light, but the threads feel like they might wear over time...

I may get a few anyway, if you find RN4062 Carts on the net, they are the same as DSE 701. The casing seems very durable alright, ya can also wash the filler i think and re use, would'nt be a worry anyway as ya can also buy filler for them.

Yeah i read about the threads on the aluminium alright, might have a problem with the air hole going down to far below the coil, but you can get an O-Ring and put that between the two to keep the air hole at the right level.
I read all DSE carts should have an O-Ring on them but the ones we get from the Vapourstore don't but ya will pick one up somewhere.
I should never have that problem with the stainless, feck all weight in it really as it's only a small device anyway.

Once there is a few of us we'll look into a group buy.

There is a video on YouTube about putting a new filter in the 701 cartridge and can't find it right now but i think this is the stuff he uses, that brand anyway.
I've got filter from local petmania store. Cost me about 10-12 euro ....big piece of 25x45 cm size , white ,don't remember the brand , but it is better then original IMO .

those two are actually same person :) I've ordered 0.16mm from one and 0.20 mm from another --- got both in a same package + got 0.20 mm Kanthal as a gift :)
Great seller, has any kind of wire (just ask him )
    My favorite -- 0.20 nichrome ( 6 turns gives u about 1.5 ohm)

He's a good source for wire so and it's very cheap to get

Done 3 turns on the 0.15 and have it at 1.5 Ohms.
Tonnes of vapour coming out of this thing, more throat as expected :D

(After a couple more windings, 1.5 Ohms @ 3.4 volts eGo battery is too harsh, lose out on flavour.)
Will be staying around 2.2 Ohms.

Putting a needle through the air hole to adjust the coil makes a big difference. Any slight change at all makes a big difference to the Bulli.

Will use a bit more wick and wire trying out different ways before i begin to just leave it and let it do it's job before i have to repair.

Have 4 eGo batteries to run it, main thing for me now is trying different juices and not worry about when an atty will stop working.

Great value for the €90 i spent as with the 11 metres of wick i can repair many times over..

I would say there is huge difference between 1.5 ohm & 0.15 mm wire and 1.5 ohm 0.20mm wire :)
with 3 turns 0.15 mm wire you'll get burn taste pretty quick @ 3.4v , not an issue with 0.20 wire though ( 6 turns covers large area of the wick -- it is not getting dry so quickly )

Will definitely order some of that 0.20 wire to try out.
At the moment i have it at 2.2 Ohms and using 11mg RY4 which is a big drop from 18mg and getting a nice throat hit and plenty of vapour.
Being a user yourself you can understand my opinion changing in different posts regarding the Bulli as there is so many options when using this.

The video i saw before refilling a cartridge with filter.
He lets it stick out the top of the cartridge but the loops of the wick push it back in when screwed in anyway i find.
Got some of the Juwell Filter on Saturday and seems to be doing the trick just fine.
Also ordered a load of the 0.20 Nichrome wire to keep me going for a while!

I would say he making his live too complicated :) I just cut a piece with the scissors ( 3 cm x 1 cm ), bend it in a half and push it deeply in to the cartridge ( no contact with the coil at all ).... ah , nearly forgot --- i am sticking 2 pieces of a wick ( 2 cm long each into the cartridge aswell -- 0.3 cm out the top ) only those two tails making contact with the coil/ main wick , so there is no nasty taste of a burning filter etc.
Refiling juice with the syringe at home or just dripping onto these tails on the move .( they helps you to refill cartridge nearly fully -- no need to taking filter out )

I ordered 10 metres of 3mm braided wick from that UK Vapers group buy subject to when the MOQ is filled.

There are 8 strands in the 3mm, so for every meter of 3mm wick you get 8 times the wick = 800 atomisers using 10cm with each repair :D
The single strands are then suitable to be used on the Bulli.

This is a single strand of it.

Should be getting that .20 Nichrome wire this week too and will send a bit of that also.

I don't have the tank version so i don't need the mesh just yet.

See this atomiser is coming out soon too at possibly around the 90 euro mark.

Just got that wire a short while ago and have the Bulli vaping @ 1.6 Ohms.
It's working out very nicely i must say. More than happy with this winding.

Send me a PM with your address Gryzor and i will send ya down a couple metres of it to try.

    No bothers,

6 turns got me to 1.6 Ohms.

When i put the probes together i get .2 so take that away from the reading which was 1.8.

Anyway the point being, if yourself or Alec want some out of it when i get it let me know unless yas have ordered some yourselves since it was pointed out earlier in the thread on where to get it.
Cheers derra, still 10-12 meters wick left , i am fine :)
BTW some users joining two 0.15 mm wires together ( making pigtail ), very good performance they reckon

See this atomiser is coming out soon too at possibly around the 90 euro mark.

There are two great repairable Atomisers at the moment IMO
    1) BULLI a2 -- simple and reliable
    2) iAtty -- more complex , but high capacity (5 ml) and better taste atty
