Rally Finland/Craig Breen

Craig is now leading SWRC in Finland not that many weeks after losing his co-driver and good friend Gareth Roberts in a terrible accident on a round of the IRC.

But we all knew the depts of his talents but the drive he is putting in at the moment in Finland is nothing short of Incrediable, the emotions and determination has to be unreal considering he was thinking of quiting rallying.

I'm sure Jaffa is looking on with his cheeky grin

He is showing great courage and passion to even get into the car this weekend. He is putting a good performance even though through his own admission he can't attack the stages 100% yet.

If he can keep PG behind him for the rest of the weekend he will be in a great position for the SWRC championship.

He will only have a small lead if he wins. If he wins he will have 2 wins and one second on 68 points, Paddon would have 2 wins and a 4th on 62 points and Pg would have 1 win and 2 seconds on 61 with Oleksowicz very close on 51 if he finishes where he is. Long way to go yet though Finland is only the half way point of the championship for the 4 main contenders

Hugely impressed with him though. Pg has been on the go a long time and was a works driver. No mean feat to be beating him!

Good look to Craig
No matter what happens tomorrow he has done Gareth proud.

Ah yeah it's tight alright but at least both Craig and PG have a good chance to close up to Paddon. It should prove a great end to the season.

Again though the results are not the important thing for Craig it's just getting the confidence behind the wheel. He is doing so well to even be there and his pace is a lot quicker than I expected. Huge respect due to him.

Craig and Paul will take a 13.3 second lead into the last two stages. It's going to be a very exciting finish.

Craig rolled out of the rally on the first run of Ouninpohja. Both crew reported ok. I'm absolutely devastated for them. Such an incredibly brave performance from Craig.

Here on that stage , not long after they passed by.... 11 of us Irish here and all gutted. The lads , Craig and Paul were properly on the pace, very little off Ogier. Regardless of the DNF, it's been an amazing achievement for the boys. They've done themselves proud.

Most definitely, they were going so well. I just really hope the off doesn't hit his confidence too much. He has so much talent and I truly believe he can go right up to the top of the sport and be challenging for outright wins in the next few years.

BTW I'm so jealous of ye, I'd love to over there now..
