Hi, I have got used to the bike and feel confident now to try proper road pedals and shoes. I have looked at most of the websites but I don't know which set would suit a novice, and if I look in my lbs I don't know where to start. Ideally I would like a set of pedals that would be suitable but also easy and accessible for putting my foot in and more importantly taking my feet out. And also pedals that would allow some universality for purchasing shoes and not confining me to one brand. Pedals and shoes for touring and leisurely rides rather than racing.
    Thanks.
