On a sunday. I've to travel from celbridge to athy and back this sunday and I haven't the first clue how to go about it. Is there a train station in Athy? Does a Bus Eireann bus go there from town?
    Thanks v much

Athy is on the Waterford rail line, although you may have to get the bus from Celbridge to Heuston (67?) to get it. Similarly with Bus Eireann, you seem to need to go to Busaras and get the Clonmel bus (route 7), although they pick up from Newlands Cross if that's handier. JJ Kavanagh operate essentially the same route (from O'Connell St Dublin to Clonmel) but are much cheaper.

You might know if there are any other options out of Celbridge? A bus to Newbridge or Kildare, for instance, could meet the train there.

Not on a Sunday. A bus to Clane, and then a taxi to Naas, and then a bus from Naas to Athy. Not the optimum way of doing it, really.

The trains from the Celbridge/ Hazelhatch station go to Heuston so that's not an issue, although the 67 also stops near it.

Sorry, didn't know that. That's a bit weird, no service whatsoever. There are several trains on the Maynooth line.
