Fair City on tax evasion: "It's not worth it in the long run you will get caught"..

How civic minded of them

Ah so Fair City is fiction, because in the real world people get away with tax evasion a lot of the time

I know ir's soap but does anybody else find the Leo-Val relationship really stretches credibility??
Between the bouncing and ducking and hand flapping from Leo and Fetchitt(or Grabbit, cant remember which one she was)'s schizophrenic responses, the whole thing just grates a bit...

Looks like grabbit agrees with me!!!!

Yeah but those people aren't been watched by over half a million people four evenings a week.

Ah look dont get me started.. I said this months ago when they had the girly night.. Niamh, Yvonne, Carol and Jo... ridiculous... And Yvonne is the most inconsistently written character I've ever seen in a soap.. If she was a real life character she would be on medication for Schizophrenia..

I'm so glad that Val kicked Leo to touch, he is completely clueless when it comes to romance:D Christy and Val will make a far better couple anyway!

  • JESUS CHRIST did anyone see when val was breaking up with leo christy just appeared out of nowhere from the left wtf i ROFL so was my father

Pual is very rude to people

cass was gr8 as usual he took the popcorn lol

val and leo WUT look like his mother rather than a couple

christy and val would work well

What grates on my nerves MOST about the Niamh/Yvonne 'friendship' is that not once do either of them mention that one is raising the other ones child...yvonne never asks after the child, Niamh rarely mentions her (I've seen the odd soother on their table and a high chair, I think!). Neither of them refer to the fact that Yvonne slept with Paul either:rolleyes:

I want a disaster. We haven't had a good disaster in ages.

Found these voice over videos on youtube yesterday, can not stop laughing.

Explicit language & NSFW, not for the easily offended!

Some of the characters should get involved with Bród club... Wouldn't harm a slán here or there from Leo & the gang

Is it true the show is being scraped like the four live and the daily show?
and being replaced with murder she wrote? late late show on the way out too!
Would be great news if it was true..

what's this got to do with FC?

I can see the need to shake things up a bit every so often and have characters that don't usually interact with each other do so, this is healthy and helps with new story lines and plots ect...where Fair City sometimes falls down in this regard is the way they go about it. All these new friendships should be introduced in the 'pub' setting of McCoys and The Station, as that's realistic....but to have characters suddenly out of the blue having a knees up house party as bosum buddies can be unrealistic...have the house party after the pub interaction....

But change is good, and introduces a new dynamic! If Sash and Neasa want to invite me to their house party I'll be more than willing! Will even buy a cheap bottle of wine in Christies Spar on the way over!! :D:D:)

RTE should repeat FC from the start now in those time slots

Yeh thatd be deadly , fair city from the first episode , Id put it on series link and spend every weekend just watching it , then id go on mastermind using fair city as my specialist subject and win .
On a serious note yes I would love for this to happen.

Apologies cos this is nothing to do with Fair City but to do with it filling the slots left behind by 4 Live and The Afternoon Show.

Showing Fair City & Brookside from the beginning would be great afternoon TV.

Showing repeats from the start of Irish soaps like Fair City, Glenroe, Bracken and The Riordans etc would be good

I'd love to see those. There is half of the 1996 Christmas episode on youtube and it's great.* It was when Helen was pregnant with Rachel but was claiming it was Mike's her new fiance from London who no-one had yet met. I loved the Helen, Paul, Nicola love triangle (later square with Mike). Lorraine's unrequited love for Jimmy was another favourite story of mine.

*It's also got special Christmas continuity announcer George Hamilton at the start.:)

It's certainly a better idea than playing several hours of repeats of Murder She Wrote.

What was George Hamilton doing the introduction for? A bit strange. Danger here.
