Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    They are entitled to change their charges, but must give you 30 days to withdraw from the contract. This is exactly what they are doing as are Eircom with their customers.

    While I haven't read the specific Vodafone contract and IANAL, almost all ISP contracts have a clause in them saying they have a right to break or cancel a contract at anytime.

    However by breaking the contract and changing the terms, you can now reject the new contracts terms and move to another company.

    I suspect if you were to persue it in court, that such a clause might not actually stand up. However given the relatively low value of the contract and the fact they have given you an out, it just wouldn't be worth it.
