Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Right this is the scores as they stand before taking into account the initial predictions before the championship started.
    No major changes as a lot of people got the result pretty much spot on. Kojak remains in first a point ahead of Tom Joad. I'll take a look at the initial predictions now.

    Congrats to Tom Joad who has won the 2012 All Ireland SFC Pools, overtaking Kojak by virtue of scoring two extra points in the initial predictions (it was the Munster champion who won it for Tom). Commiserations to Kojak who has led for a good few weeks in the run in. Congratulations also to Stevecw who stole in at the very last to snatch the bronze medal position.
    Interestingly, since the second round of games, there hasn't been a week that either Tom Joad or Kojak weren't on top of the pile.

    Right, I'll just give a brief recap on the bonus point scoring:
    At the start of the season, people predicted the AI winners and runners up, along with the four provincial winners and the other four quarter finalists. 2 points were given for each correct prediction. You had to get your prediction 100% right to score 2 points. For example, if you predicted Donegal to reach the quarter final but not to win the Ulster championship, you'd get zero points. Likewise, if you predicted Kerry to win Munster, you'd score zero points even though they made it to the quarter finals.
    Let me know if you think I've made a mistake with your score.

    Thanks to everyone for playing. Apologies for the delays at times to update the scoring. I'll hopefully be back in January for the league pools. I've got an idea or two on slight improvements in the scoring system, but if anyone has any ideas, let me know.
    Also, I'm considering going all in and doing the NHL pools as well if no one volunteers.

    Well done Tom on the win, and Kojak for the silver medal. Been the top 2 all year so well deserved.
    Happy enough to end up 3rd with my initial predictions saving me! 2nd in league pools and 3rd in this...so not too bad a year overall.

    Big thanks to Hammer, did a great job setting this up & keeping it updated despite being busy with other stuff.
    Great fun as always, and looking forward to the league 2013 pools already.
