Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    You know the one where they arrive on earth except time is going in reverse...did you spot any inconsistencies with the backwards plot...wouldnt lister rimmer et al do everything in reverse motion due to the physics of the universe they were in?

    And when Lister wants to find out how to say "Bitter" why does the guy answer him after he asks...

    Why do the crowd go "Oooooooh" after the tricks Rimmer and Kryten do?

    I think it's best not to think about it...

    yes those are interesting points,maybe the explanation lies in that everything is going backwards and lister is in fowards mode...but that still seems inconsistent gah.

    This, like many other things in Red Dwarf wasn't really thought through properly, (probably on purpose). It's just a laugh. Not really meant to make proper sense.

    heh heh yeah like the closing scene where the cat takes a dump, it was clearly put in as an infantile joke not as means of contributing in anyway to the plot, and its all the more funny for that. hah:D

    edit: wow you cant say **** here, unusual, it was a common enough word in medieval times

    It was a fun episode despite then inconsistancies. Surely Lister should have been dragged against his will outside to come in through the window. Series three really wasn't the best though.

    Very good episode in imo. Anybody watch it "forwards" on the disk 2. Lister, Kryten etc are talking backwards when everyone else is talking forwards. The guy(compere?) comes in to the dressing room after Rimmer and Kyrten's show and says pointing to each one " Im not giving out to you, or you, or you. I'm giving out to the sad bastard who watched this forwards" Classic.

    yeah i was just gong to mention that, its brilliant. anyway you shouldnt over analyse it cos it just wouldnt have worked if they had thought evrything through properly

    its actually pretty funny to watch the episode 'forwards', once you've seen it a few times. though it can get annoying when there is excessive bits being shown in erm... reverse (rimmer, lister etc... talking to each other)
