No thread yet and it past noon of a Friday.. I tell ya the standards are really slipping here since the Troika left...

Now I dont have a lot of information at the moment but I can tell you the following...

    Tonight's guests will be:

    Conor Lenihan
Amy Huberman and the stars of new Irish comedy film 'The Stag'
Evelyn O'Rourke talking about her cancer battles
Music from Judith Owen and Alan Hayes

I.E. NOWHERE NEAR AS ENTERTAINING AS LAST WEEKS :pac:

IMPORTANT NOTICE: In response to the post below by that fupn b*ll*x another poster, I have been asked by the ISPCA not to include a puppeh or kitteh in the opening post for the Late Late Show thread.. They explained to me that they are getting calls about abandoned kittehs and puppehs at approx 11.35pm on a Friday night... People, a puppeh/kitteh is for life, not just for a Late Late Show Thread..

The freebies had better be good so

Harry Shearer was on Tubs' show this morning - very funny and a great person to interview, even criticising the quality of 'The Simpsons' - should have had him on the Late Late in my opinion.

    I recommend listening back.

I heard Tubs say this morning that Hector is on, also Amy Huberman, can't remember the rest

Yeah, Judith Owen 'Star of Spinal Tap'. The same way as Heather Mills was one of the stars of the Beatles

Amy Huberman and people from The Stag
    Evelyn O'Rourke
    Conor Lenihan
    Hector

They should just interview Amy for a bit then repeat last weeks show again.

Ah, Skid, guys like Hector bring the best out of the thread!

Plus even one Spinal Tap clip, however tenuous the link to the guest, means it'll probably be the best LLS of the season!

(Also, I gave up on The Simpsons a good while ago, but that RTE link seems to say Harry Shearer does the voice of Maggie Simpson. What am I missing here?)

Amy Huberman? Oh how convenient; Drico's last match tomorrow. We can expect much fawning and simpering from Tubs so.

She is on to promote her new film (which opens today), with the rest of the cast.

If you're sitting in the front row you might get a bit of Conor Lenihan's spit.

It's being released tomorrow to coincide with the match. I read it in the book about it.

Please, not Hector. I thought (hoped) he had gone away. Obviously he still gets into the canteen.

Sorry Donie, you missed the best show of the year last week! It was epic. This week will be like the morning after.

That RTE article is a shambles. It has a picture from The Stag which doesn't even have Amy Huberman in it. Madness.

You should do the Late Late Show stare if you get a chance and you will be on Joe.ie tomorrow.

There's a book written about the release of this film?

Obviously not. That line is an obscure film reference that I placed there for my own amusement.

    Deadly. What film is it?

The Way Way Back. It's one of Sam Rockwell's lines. Very funny.

Hector! hats off to the LLS for bagging him ;)
Is there an election? Tubs usually only has Fianna Fail folk on in the run up to an election or if Louis is busy...

Never fear, Tubs will drag Lenihan over the hot coals:

Tubs: 'So Conor, great man yourself'
    Lenihan: 'Thanks Ryan'
Tubs: 'If you don't mind me saying, there was a little controversy with the brother acting the maggot with the finances'
Lenihan: 'We got greedy as a nation'
    Tubbs: 'You're not wrong there'
Lenihan: 'Vote for me, I'm making a come back'.
Tubbs: 'Sure we will of course. How's the Auntie Mary?'

The Conor Lenihan interview gives DLB a smörgåsbord of misery from which to pick.

Death, Recession, more Death, baldness, Fianna Fáil, Cancer, Russian Imperialism, Mary O'Rourke ...

Far too harsh :D... I hope he takes it a bit easier on him... ;)
