Hi all,

    Wow, I wasn't aware that the largest caught Roach was that size, I have caught some easily 2 pounders in my time, never really thought that they'd be anywhere near record weights....must keep an eye on this in future :eek:

    I'd have beaten that silver eel record last month.Had one on a worm on the canal at sallins and it broke the line just before i netted him after a half hour fight.Was ten pounds if hee was an ounce.*the one thatgot away!*

    I went to that website and it says a specimen Flounder size is 2.4lbs but i'm just wondering is it the same size for shore as it is for a boat caught fish as I got a nice one yesterday of just over 2lbs?

    ye they got that one wrong in more ways then one. the fish was 8lbs point 15. which is about 8lbs 2ozs. the record has been broken a few times but anglers thought it was 8 pounds 15 ounces. i`ve seen a photo of an 8lbs 3oz fish weight on a certified scales.

    sorry for delay in responce, i don`t come on here often and keep forgetting my password. been up there once this year and was iced off. 6am one morning all the rods screamed off with ice runs, massive sheets of ice traveling down the lake. did manage 4 fish before that to 15lbs though
