Is this the Atari 2600 or similar?

I had one, though it looked a bit different from the above.

    Who remembers the lyrics?

    Ordered.

Have a BBQ at the weekend with loads of kids coming 'round. I'll show them where they can put their Call Of Dutys!

Just to note guys that this is basically an Atari emulator. The games won't be exactly 100%.

I have one of these knocking around somewhere and it's alright for a bit of nostalgia but nowhere near the original.

As well as missing Pacman (and Ms Pacman), there is no Phoenix, Space Invaders, Pitfall, River Raid, Defender, Millipede, Joust, Dig Dug or Demon Attack.

And no ET. I mean WTF? :)

Is this just flash based or can you play original cartridges? I still have a bunch of them at home and my atari is busted.

I still have the original 2600 in my parents attic - took it down a couple of months ago and "treated" my son to a game of pole positon. What's that block on the track da? - eh that's a car you've to overtake!
I suppose the nostalgia was lost on him, peasant!

LoL swordquest. I dont think those games are even playable properly without the manual.

That's all the main games you've listed there. Loved Phoenix and Millipede as a child.

Hero was the balls. Defo my favourite game on the 2600

It's a nice looking unit, although the manufacturer probably couldn't get the licenses for every title - some of the Argos reviews asking where game "X" was.

This will keep any retro-junkies going! :)

They're still waiting for the landfill to be found

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,811 ✭✭✭BaconZombie

It';s basically a NES-on-a-Chip so all the games are ports.
