Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Chatham House Rule of confidentiality

I no this is not suited to this part of the site but i cant find where it should be so i would be greatful for someone to move it to the right place I know what the Chatham House Rule of confidentiality is but im curious on if you attand a meeting with that rule in effect, what happens if you break it?

It doesn't have a legal standing, if that's what you mean.

It is simply an agreement held amongst those attending a meeting where some level of confidentiality is desired, or where a standard of confidentiality is routinely expected within an organisation. For example the recent Fianna Fail leadership meeting would have been held along these lines.
