Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    The Washington Post of 31/7/12 is reporting that the Oriental Nicety formerly known as the Exxon Valdez has been given permission to enter Indian waters in order to be scrapped. The ship was sold for $16 million and should take about five months to dismantle. A few years ago "60 Minutes" a popular investigative show in America did a story on the town of Alang, India where ship dismantling is an important industry. All or most of the labor involved is by hand.

    The little info around on it makes it seem an interesting and dangerous place. Probably the most polluted bit of coast in the world too.
