Those Cost Plus Sofa ads are dire

Did you ever find yourself going around singing the ads to yourself. I'm always at it, someone will commit me some of these days.

They're shocked at how lightweight Patricia turned out to be. Sitting there with a knowing smile and not a lot else to say just isn't hacking it for Vinny.

Another pathetic performance form Brown last night, he really is losing it. Hissy fit after hissy fit, its like canned rage. He just wants to make shouty tv, he has no interest in making an intelligent program. I'll never watch it again.

He has become the programme rather that being the presenter

He savages those he disagrees with and purrs and coos over the equality brigade.

He's now into the logic 'We are a wealthy country (not economy) therefore there is no need for ANY cuts. The Govt would be wealthy too and could afford ALL current expenditures (plus increments) if only they had the will to raise taxes enough'.

The mechanics of transferring these monies from the owners to the State are technical matters of detail. Despite the fact that it is this very transfer (how/when/why) that engulfs political debate.

Sensibly enough he doesn't buy the ULA/SF stuff but cannot take the small step beyond that to realising public spending MUST be cut drastically.

John Drennan, of the Indo is on the show to plug his new book, "Standing By the Republic" - 50 Dáil Debates that shaped the nation.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,873 ✭✭✭Skid

The debate is all over the place - John Drennan wants to plug his book of historic Dáil debates, Vincent wants to grill Éamon Ó'Cuív about the last Government.
