Removing the dust cap from CANbus R1200gs

Hi all, Was wondering if you could help me. I have an 04 R1200gs and am having real problems trying to remove the dust cap from the Canbus powersupply that sits near the handlebars. Was hoping someone could talk me through removing it? Thanks Richard
