You know what the worst feeling is? Coming out of an exam and realising you forgot to do a bunch of parts to questions that you thought you did.

Stupid paper 2! I fscked up the circle question and Q4c. Q8c was a bit weird, I haven't seen that before. 2,3,5,6 went alright I hope.

yeah , i got 1 and 3 totally right .. 6 and 7 got about half right and 5 and 8 got about 1 fifth of them right..ciricle ad line were ok .
At least it wasnt as that bastard paper 1 ... u bastard child of a thousand bitches!!!!!

    I got Q 2,3,6,8 Perfect
Q4 was perfect except the last part of the c part so i figure i lost 10 marks there, maybe 7 if I get an attempt.
Q5 I got everything out but the actual distance cause im a stupid ****er, and didnt realise it was 3D, so thats losing 10 marks again, maybe i'll get 3 marks for an attempt.

So assuming I havn't made any huge mistakes I got 284 out of 300 so im happy :)
And even if I ****ed it up I've got about 30/50 in Q7 so im good :)
Combined with my 93% in maths paper 1 and i get 94% so im ecstatic!!

HHAHAHA You guys wont believe this.
On question 5 with the trig picture I did realise it was a 3d picture and didnt realise you just had to use pytagorus, so i took a educated guess of 65, and it was right :)
    So so happy :)

    Dave, I hate you.

I blanked. I took WAY too long on Q1 and then rushed and blanked. :( Not good at all. :(

yeah didnt do fantastic r owt. coupla bits of c's i couldn't get. o and Q4 part (c)???? what the hell?? dammit it have to do well in all the rest now

  • Registered Users Posts: 895 ✭✭✭imp

That wasn't too bad at all. I made a couple of mistakes on (c) parts though. So for Paper 2 I'm guessing I'll have a B2 maybe.

Overall I'd say I'll be looking at a C of some sort.

I was hoping for better... but nih...

Now to decide what to do in college!

    It was mostly easy... Mostly.

Probability took about a minute to do!
Question 1 took quite a while though. They trick you into thinking it's easy, but it always takes ages.
Time was the biggest problem. Could have gotten everything with a little more time. Anyone else run out of time?

    No probs PHB :)

pity I didn't get it out.

Time management was poor on Paper2 :(

Q1 me no like, 2 and 5 were piss easy.

Made a fair stab at everything else.

    paper1 was nicer

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,329 ✭✭✭radiospan

There were serious complaints about it on Radio 1 just now.

Things along the lines of "the only noise to be heard in exam halls was the sobbing of higher level maths students".

I didn't think it was as bad as they made it sound, but the c part of Q4 was hard alright.

Q8c was very much like Applied Maths :)

    yea, heard that too plazz.

    talk about OTT reaction ffs.

QUICK! everybody write to the exam board in Athlone and comlain!

    HAY YOU GUYS!!!!
I heard there was a mistake on the paper in q1 part (b) {like another one that we weren't told about} and in a (c) part of another question

    is this true?

    if so, whopskidoodles:D

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 2,559 ✭✭✭Tazzle

Ya, er my mate said that he heard something about q1 (b) on the news, that we didnt get a correction for it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,152 ✭✭✭✭Sangre

Well the correction for us was that the three circles were on the same line. but it was kind of obvious from the diagram.

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 2,559 ✭✭✭Tazzle

i didnt get no bloody corrections, must talk to supervisor tomorrow.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,152 ✭✭✭✭Sangre

If you think it made a diffrence, then you really should.
We had like 3 corrections for Geography, I wonder if they read them out.

There has been a correction in nearly every exam. Is it that hard to proof read something ffs.

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

We havn't had a single correction yet :(
Gona talk to the supervisor tomorrow :/

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 2,559 ✭✭✭Tazzle

I've only got one correction so far, it involved the scribbling out of a the in some question on paper 1, has there been any others on any other papers on any subject?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,152 ✭✭✭✭Sangre
