    4:35 Wolverhampton - Mastership - €15 e/w @ 12/1 (Powers)

Not really sure how he's 12/1, with Powers of all firms. A run anywhere near his Ayr Bronze Cup 3rd gives him a big chance and he has won here before. Looks well weighted and could be dangerous on a going day. Jockey takes off a handy 3lbs but he's a tricky horse. Still worth a shot.

    5:35 Wolverhampton - Loyalty - €10 @ 9/1 (WillHill)

Unexposed and still progressing. C&D winner and possibly didn't handle the trip/track combo last time out. Looks overpriced.

    3:50 Kempton - Zip Lock - €10 @ 12/1 (WillHill)

Best of luck man, need to check the logs part more often.

I'll be following this one till the end ;)

  • Moderators Posts: 8,700 ✭✭✭x PyRo

Cheers Doc, hopefully the end will end in 10 grand and not €0. :pac:

Mastership was poor enough. Finished 6th in the end. Still interested in him if he goes down a few lbs.

Loyalty flew home late but lost out in a photo by the smallest of noses! So close but yet so far.

    I'll sort the bank later.

    Bolton to beat Chelsea - €20 @ 9/2 (Betfred)

Price looks too big. Chelsea still don't look anything near what they were and Bolton are a tough team to beat, especially at home.

Zat Knight to score anytime - €10 @ 20/1 (ExtraBet)

He's very dangerous from corners and free-kicks as he's an absolute giant. The price looks way too big and Chelsea could struggle to deal with him if Bolton get enough set pieces into the box.

Aw man never even saw that you'd backed Loyalty aswell, gutted, would have been nice!

  • Moderators Posts: 8,700 ✭✭✭x PyRo

    Would of been lovely alright.

    Both footie bets lost.

    3:40 Leicester - Not So Sure Dick - €20 @ 5/1 (Bet365)

    4:10 Leicester - Amore Mio - €10 @ 14/1 (Bet365)

    Will update the stats later.

    1:40 Warwick - Pancake - €10 @ 9/1 (Bet365)

    2:15 Warwick - Folie A Deux - €50 @ 5/2 (Powers)

    3:20 Thurles - Glencove Marina - €20 @ 5/1 (Powers)

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,860 ✭✭✭thesandeman

Wtf happened in Folie A Deux race? I was following it on PPs in running market and it went out to 50/1. Did they mess up again?

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Heard it was a brilliant ride by McCoy, went to 1000/1 in running.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,838 ✭✭✭Nulty

He dropped back about 10-15l behind and came back into it on the home turn, passed the field to win by 1/2l. Very impressive.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,860 ✭✭✭thesandeman

Nice surprise for me anyway. Had marked it off as a loser in my book, then spotted the result on Aertel.

Watched it in the pub earlier. No wonder he is winning awards. Most other jocks would have just given up.

All above lost, will update soon. Going for a fair few footy bets today.

    Arsenal vs Everton - @ 4/9
    West Brom vs Wigan - @ 3/4

    €50 double @ 2.52 (VictorChandler)

Chris Brunt to score anytime vs Wigan - €40 @ 11/4 (SkyBet)
Chris Brunt to score first vs Wigan - €10 @ 8/1 (SkyBet)

    Cardiff vs Reading - €50 @ 6/5 (Boylesports)

Marlon King (Coventry) to score anytime vs Notts Forest - €50 @ 9/4 (Bet365)

    Total Staked - €200

All the goalscorer bets are placed, so hopefully they start.

  • Moderators Posts: 8,700 ✭✭✭x PyRo

    Thank God for Marlon King.

No idea how West Brom didn't manage to win after getting an equalizer. Brunt nearly scored the winner but hit the post. That's a double smack in the balls!

    -€37.50c from this bets.

Bank sorted tomorrow if I get a chance.

  • Moderators Posts: 8,700 ✭✭✭x PyRo

Still haven't got around to updating this but will after todays football.

    West Ham vs Birmingham - €50 @ 11/10 (Betfred)

Craig Gardner anytime for Birmingham - €20 @ 6/1 (Unibet)

If anyone scores for them, it'll be him.

    Chelsea vs Liverpool - €50 @ 5/1 (Bet365)

Price is much too big. Worth taking a chance on it as 'pool look better lately and Chelsea are still dodgy imo.

    Total Staked - €120

  • Moderators Posts: 8,700 ✭✭✭x PyRo

G'wan the 'pool! How West Ham didn't win too is a mystery, or else it's because they couldn't score in a brothel.

    Bank - €1,442.50c (+€442.50c)

    Bets - 61
    Wins - 13
    SR - 21%
    Staked - €1301.42c
    Returned - €1743.92c
    ROI - 34%

    3:45 Southwell - Earlsmedic - €12.50 @ 11/1 (WillHill)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

Why did you change your mind on the horse?

the pick in the 3.45 is different to the one in the other thread?

any major reason or just backing both e/w??

  • Moderators Posts: 8,700 ✭✭✭x PyRo

I didn't change my mind. The other one is a 1pt bet on that threads terms, this is a 1pt bet on these terms.

It's not going to break the bank plus it'll cover my other stake if it wins. I still want MV to win though. :) I also seen the price was cut with all firms at the time of posting, which is usually worth noting with a Stuart Williams horse. He's as shrewd as they come.

    3:40 Meydan - Final Drive - €30 @ 4/1 (VC)

  • Moderators Posts: 8,700 ✭✭✭x PyRo

    The above lost.

    2:25 Newbury - Noland - €20 @ 12/1 (Bet365)

Favourites rarely win this, so I'm opposing one of my favourite horses. I think Noland has a chance if running anywhere near his usual self. Looks overpriced in the main and could have a squeak.

    3:00 Newbury - I'msingingtheblues - €20 @ 7/1 (Ladbrokes)

Conditions are favourable and I think he's in with a chance here if running to ability. Finds winning tough though.

    Birmingham vs Stoke - €50 @ 6/4 (Bet365)

Price looks way too big for the home team to win. I reckon they'll hit some form now too.

    No Goalscorer in the Manchester Derby - €10 @ 9/1 (Bet365)

City will try for a boring 0-0 and even though I think there'll be goals, I think this is overpriced and I'm usually wrong when I predict goals, so it seems the smartest thing to do!

I don't think I could back anything else in this game either. Hope it comes in for you, but if it really has to lose, let's hope it's to a solitary Tévez goal ;)

bit sorry now i didnt have a stab at 9s though

Nice one, nearly followed you on that one, but went for Arsenal -2 instead. Very unlucky with that one!

  • Moderators Posts: 8,700 ✭✭✭x PyRo

Jaysus, unlucky dude. You got no luck and I got lots with a last minute winner! Happens unfortunately for you. :'(

Yeah, I was screaming at the tv when Walcott shot instead of squaring it to Chamakh! Shit happens though, hoping for both teams not to score in the Derby game now...queue a last minute equaliser or something :p
