PS3 "An available HDMI was dectected"

    Hi all, when i plug in my PS3 a screen comes up with "An available HDMI cable was dectected. Do you want to output video and audio using HDMI?"

    The options are "yes" and "no" but neither the controller or the remote can toggle between or select either one. When i press the PS button it just directs me to another screen where i can only either turn off the console return to the original screen...!!

    Any solutions or suggestions people???
