    New arrival today :)

How do you say "Breitling" in Russian?

    POLJOT JETFIGHTER ! :D

Fished it out of the bay last week. The watch head is pretty much new, it also came with a used, Breitling-esque bracelet which is a little bit too tight ...the new Poljot strap (which I had prepared earlier :D) suits it much better anyway.

Movement is Poljot 31681, a 3133 variety with additional 24h display and my first three register chrono. (handwind, of course)

Diameter across the bezel alone is 43 mm; with all the nupsies and gubbins it's 49, 49 mm lug to lug and about 15 mm to the top of the curved crystal.

The finish looks very matte in the pics (which it is) but in real life it still shines and blings pretty strongly, depending on how the light hits.

Like that a lot peasant. Much more subtle than a Breitling. Mind if I ask how much?

You can get a new one here for 395 http://www.poljot24.de/en/index.php/chronograph-jetfighter-24std.html

needless to say ...I paid less than half that :D

ya I like that a lot too peasant, also because it has a limitation of 600.
Only thing that I feel is that the date window is just crammed in there, but thats just my opinion

    Nice one there Smokey.

nope - look @ the flat 2d skull in the painting - then look at the watch in the photo. At least on my pc the watch looks flat and stretched :-)

When I open the attachment the ratios are distorted. Zooming and unzooming fixes it. I'm using chrome it opens in full size on explorer.

Took me a while to figure out what Micro was on about. Lovely watch by the way love those Flieger Nav Bs

Decided to try something different on the Steinhart Military for a while, red shark skin strap from the Steinhart range.

copy and paste from a post on Tz-uk, finally took some marginally better pics:

Over the past month i have welcomed two new chronos into my small collection and said good bye to my Rolex 216570 (black dial) and Panerai 359.

I have come to the conclusion that as much as i love panerai watches, they are a little too unwieldy on my wrist, and whilst i loved the EXP 2, invariably my sub c was the watch i reached for.

I have a long standing interest in JLC despite never owning one, so when this 2010 JLC MCC came up on a brand new oem strap i couldnt refuse, and it really has not disappointed. Perfect size for me at 41.5mm, lovely deployant on the gator strap and i love the compressor crowns, lovely piece of engineering.

The little details like the smattering of red on the dial and the rose gold caseback plaque complete the package for me, i totally get JLC i have to say.

The second one in is another long admired piece, the Zenith striking tenth. Ideally id like this in bracelet, but the oem strap is very comfortable and the rubber backing is a nice touch. This one is a similar size to the JLC but wears bigger as its almost all face, still a nice size on a 7.25" wrist and relatively low profile. The colour on the sub dials makes the base silver dial really pop and it changes from brilliant white to silver to champagne depending on the light.

I was looking at adding a daytona, but having tried one on yesterday, i dont think i would swap either of these two for one.

    Some rubbish snaps

Fantastic pieces. Tried on the striking tenth in Weirs a little while ago and it is stunning. Surprised that the JLC wears smaller, I had always thought that the compressor crowns would make it look enormous.

I'm really loving that JLC. The Master Compressor collection are my favourite in the range too. Well wear!

Not the best picture, Arrived this morning. Strap needs changing, I don't know what to put on it. The hands are blue in certain light so I am torn between a shark mesh or a blue leather.

Probably way too brash for most peoples tastes, but this arrived today. I'm not a fan of many of the Breitling range, but I love this one.

It's big at 46mm, but the curved lugs plus my chubby 8" wrists help with that.

I always thought the same until I tried a friends one. Now I'm certain JLC is my next purchase. The perceptible build quality is superb!

As for the Breitling, it is a lovely watch. A gentleman bruiser that would dwarf my wrist(I have the smaller transocean), but you can pull it off!
