Not currently pregnant but I had my baby names picked years ago.

    Ava and Conor.

I've heard that it can change once you actually see the baby but for now we'll go with those two.

You got any stand-out names for your bump Quality?

Timpiste for a boy or girl is quite good

Only messin, girlfriend loves Isabell for a girl so I'm told that's what our first girl will be

Isabell shortens to bell (which I think is corny) but she loves

I'm called after my 2 grannies and I want to keep the tradition and the best combination of Alice and Mary that I like, is Alimae, and for a boy James (Jamie). A second boy is Eamon and second girl after me.
I like family names because I think they help maintain the family story and also they don't go in and out of fashion too much. I prefer to be able to say I'm called after my grannies rather than my cousin Rowena who's called after a name my aunt liked in a Mills & Boon novel

Yeah, I can see it now.
"Ha ha ha ha your name is Moses, that's in the bible. What are ya holy or something?"
"Oh hit me where it hurts John?"

Oooh yeah Caleb is a great name. Also like Jonas.

I kinda like Etta for a girl, but my niece is named Ella so I think that could be a bit confusing. :)

Oooh names :) My favourite subject!

    Boy names:
    Darwin
    Elijah
Joshua (but I hate Josh, so maybe not)
    Ferdia
    Diarmuid
    Senan

    Girl names:
    Alice
    Aoife
    Ailbhe
    Caoimhe
    Maebh
    Eve
    Muireann
    Caoimhinn
    Realtin
    Siofra
    Laoise

My firstborn is Emmett, if he was a girl he'd have been Ciara, but I've totally gone off that now. I'm going to keep it quiet, maybe. I'm telling everyone Ghenghis for a boy, Gobnait for a girl.

Caoimhinn is the boys version of Caoimhe, the irish of Kevin. Its pronounced kee-veen or caoimhainn is que-vawn.

my top three of each (for this week!):

    girls:

    > Adeline
    > Cara
    > Lucina

    Boys:

    > Sebastian
    > Micah
    > Tane

    do you any of these?
I chage my mind with names all the time :P

My friend called her little girl Tess. Not Elizabeth or anything, just tess. I like it but won't be using it obviously. I have a potential girls name picked out but am not telling, ( don't know why). It is an Irish name.

    As for boys names

Edmond Patrick for my dad, grandad, great grandad etc. etc. something like 17 generations.
Probably called Ted or Ed which is a cool enough name.
My oh gets the surname so I am being insistant on this but he likes my Dad and the name anyway. He's called after his Dad and Grandad so that's where Patrick comes in.

Wish I knew if it was a boy or girl. Suspense not my favourite thing so pregnancy is proving arduous.

I like Glen or Alexander for a boy. Guess out of your girls names i'd choose juliet but none of them would be on my list. Naming a little person is so hard isn't it!

Not exactly. It's Caoimhín - pronounced Queeveen.

    Not your ornery onager

Funny, i know a caoimhinn and a caoimhainn but there's a lot of variation in old names i suppose.

  • How about using one of the (great)grandparents name. Thats what we did, with one it was a deliberate choice and the other by chance.

I'm not big on Sadie or Esther... or Austin! My OH's son is named after his great grand father already so that's out!
